The end of a project is often a mixture of celebration and a sadness that it is all over, as people go their separate ways. The end of the New Directions in Digital Media project, was marked with a conference in London yesterday, with the teachers involved presenting a stunning showcase of their work. Kevin Burden and myself, from the University of Hull, summarised the research findings, whilst Chris Morley, project manager, gave a wonderful overview of the project and held the day together. The best news is all the participants are keen to develop and progress the work they have started, and I am sure we will hear a lot more from them in the future.
NDDM was a NESTA funded Action Research project exploring the potential of DVD to transform learning. During the project six teachers conducted their own classroom based projects and recorded their progress in a series of audio and video diaries posted on the project blog. Working with their pupils, they created a series of multimedia resources on DVD to support teaching and learning. Here's a little slide show of the day.
